Shaanxi: support for the first domestic LEO satellite business networking project landing

Recently, the Shaanxi Branch of the State Development Bank granted a credit of 220 million yuan to the Space-based Internet of Things commercial satellite project of Xi'an Haihui Defense Technology Co., Ltd. and realized the first loan.
Internet of Things (IOT) satellite and its application is one of the trends of commercial space development at home and abroad. It is a strategic emerging industry that satellite communication business extends to the field of Internet of Things under the current environment of IOT development. The project is the first commercial low-orbit satellite Internet of Things project to be implemented in China, relying on the accumulation of satellite payload research and development in the field of space optics in Xi'an Institute of Optics and Machinery of the Chinese Academy of Sciences for many years and the mature capability of satellite R&D and manufacturing.
In recent years, the Shaanxi Branch of the State Development Bank has played an active role in developing finance, made full use of the advantages of scientific and technological resources in Shaanxi Province, cultivated in new strategic industries such as scientific and technological innovation, continuously increased the follow-up, cultivation and development of high-quality projects in the early stages, set up a sound credit structure in compliance with regulations, and set up a green project for scientific and technological innovation and civil-military integration. We will continue to deepen our cooperation with the Shaanxi Academy of Sciences, represented by the Xi'an Institute of Optics and Precision Machinery, to explore and construct the financing mode of "industry-university-research" which integrates the advantages of financing and the scientific and technological innovation resources of scientific and technological research institutes.
Up to now, the bank has pledged 28.6 billion yuan in high-tech loans and 21 billion yuan in loans for the integration of military and civilian sectors, providing strong support for accelerating the "hard science and technology" innovation in Xi'an, promoting the construction of innovative provinces in Shaanxi and achieving high-quality economic development.
